No it is not possible. For a file you can give a password not for the sheets in it....

hey dude,
using the tools-protection-protect sheet, u can only protect the sheet against updations.
but the sheet'd still be visible to users, protecting from editing.
if u wanna stop users from opening of any sheet of excel, then sorry to say, it is not possible.
u hv to provide password to open for complete excel document, not sheet-wise.

No, you can only give password to whole file, not for sheet.

YES ...U can ...Go to TOOLS- PROTECT-WORKSHEET...Enter Password...
Better u also protect the workbook.....
Note :
But don't rely on safety by protecting.Ther r people who can track/ disable passwords n see ur sheets

I wish that was possible, i need to protect my important recordings, but try asking a microsoft tech or somone that can help you with mrocsoft programs, go to microsoft.com and try there. I hope this helps u
