Doubt there are any "great sex novels". But I do know some where "fidelity" is the focus. In one story I know, actually I wrote it, when it came to where a married couple in the story had three years to squander, as they had time traveled and needed to wait to "catch up" to a certain day, the man asked: "What shall we do for three years?" and the girl answered: "Give me children, husband." I have read several excellent novels up until the "token porn scene". Sorry I could not help you much here if your project is for school, but you might try a comparison and contrast concerning how some author's leave "sex" to those that it involves, and write a fine story without a "secret bedroom camera" for the reader.

Lolita is a great novel in which sex is a major theme. The sex in it is very not great though.
