Why does a lack of repression equal a return the stone age and withdrawal of civilisation? (I am amused by the way at the American spelling of this word in your question, I would love to think this was sarcasm, however given the tone of your question I would think this unlikely)
I would consider an open society to be a step forward not back, it enables even the most unpalatable of opinions to be heard.
It allows the most morally bankrupt of this world to have platform, sadly the most bankrupt seem to think they speak from a position of moral superiority and that is far more of a problem than people having sex, women or otherwise.

Sorry, but your education didn't include that essential ingredient "How to construct a sentence" but I think I can see into your little mind. You want to know why we don't just abandon freedom of thought, word and action, subject to certain constraints such as Human Rights, Civil and Criminal Law, and the Western Code of ethical behaviour which has been refined over the last 2,500 years. Well, the answer is that we'd rather have civilisation mate, with all its problems, than a closed, oppressive system of feudal society based on the teachings of rather strange man who had a fixation for prepubescent girls. We like wine, our women control their own lives, and the pork sausage roll is here to stay. Sorry to disappoint, but freedom always wins out mate. Anything else is for cowards and retards.
