Kind of tricky huh ? I have been mulling this one over for 3 weeks now and cannot find the answer - all I know is that it is a UK mainland coastal town and the clu is cryptic.
Cheers

Tough one. Any more clues? I don't understand what you mean about the pretentious Latin. Is that part of the clue? I am not familiar with U.K. coastal towns so I might not be much help.
Scarborough, Londonderry, Aberdeen, Penzance, Torquay.

It might be Lyme Regis, or Bognor Regis. In Latin, "Regis" would mean "belonging to the king".
