I have a battery at the back of my laptop and it only lasts for 5 minutes.It is supposed to last for a much much longer time and I don't know why it isn't charging for longer.Do I have to configure my battery settings and how,where do I go to configure the battery settings.

Check with the manufacturer to see if there is an issue or recall - Dell had an issue with some power supplies not charging properly. If there is not a recall and you are out of warantee, I would purchase a new battery.

Laptop batteries are only covered for 6 months under the guarantee as they are so unreliable.....i don't have the battery connected to mine any more as its useless

it depends on the age of the battery. batteries lose their ability to stay charged for long periods of time as they get older

You can't change your battery setting.If your battery doesn't work how you want, you must buy a new one.

*NOTE:
You must charge your battery more than 12hours at the first time you want to use it or it will be damaged.
