I have a large black and white mollie and the scales behind her fins are standing straight up. I have never seen this before and she's not acting funny and she's swimming just fine. I'm curious if this is a disease and if so what can i get for it?

Thanks a bunch guys, when i came home from work and checked on him he was dead. I didn't get a chance to try and treat him. Thanks so much for your help though. I have to go cry now :(

yup dropsy. you can either treat the whole tank or hope it is just the one and treat it seperatly. Your fish will die very quickly if you do not get it taken care of. They will never fully recover, it will always come back. But I have been sucsellfully treating a tank for the past 2 years with ony a few deaths.

Go to the pet store as soon as it opens. ask them about treatments
