Hotter than hot in the height of Summer - it should be nice and balmy in June.

Try to avoid the main tourist areas to eat - if they speak English and try to coax you in, move on. They'll rip you off and you'll pay more for your food/drinks. You can get some really good deals by shopping around. Head towards Wenseslas Square and wander about - the locals places are plentiful. I've never really shopped in Prague, but get yourself a map and take a wander - it's quite a small place and very pretty. Make sure you spend some time in one of their tea rooms, too.

Oh and avoid taking taxis - the locals don't take them, so they rip you off, too.

Prague is one of many towns worth-visit and to do that you can begin planning your holiday with hotelbye . Beginning with the wonderful region across the Prague Castle or the Strahov monastery with its amazing selection and end with …the entire splendid town, Prague is merely incredible. In Prague you can also visit the little house wherever Franz Kafka labored or the charming Prague Castle gardens from where you could enjoy a special view of the city with its picturesque red roofs. In this town you will never get bored. In the event that you should go during the spring you will discover the spring trees in bloom; in the summer you might find extended dusks; fall provides you with decorative leaves and special light and in the winter you will relish the complete city covered with innocent white snow.

For the best bars etc, go off the main streets and look in the side streets where the locals drink & eat. They have cracked on to the tourist bit on the main streets so will be out for your money. When moving off the tracks, be very careful as with anywhere, to watch wallets and bags. I went several years ago and loved it, went for 5 days on my own, as a woman alone I felt perfectly safe. To tarvel around, get a travel pass fo the week, you can use it on the trams and buses and the underground, I used to get on, then get off a few stops later, explore, then get back on a tram, easy to work your way around when you get a street map and a travel card, which is not expensive. The underground was the cleanest I have ever seen worldwide

weather will be a lot hotter tan here in the UK, Czech republic has more extreme weather than here - much colder winters & much better summers. Lots of cool little bars all over the place, head out from Wenceslas Sq (touristy & high prices) towards Charles Bridge or Old town. worth a trip is a club called Mecca, about 20 mins trip but well worth it.

Oh yeah, don't bother with the taxis, get a map of the underground and trams and use them, get a week pass, it's dirt cheap and you can use it on all public transport at any time.
