Well to go to Goa you have to get a visa to India. For that you have to contact the nearest Indian embassy or consulate. All of them have facilities for receiving visa applications by post and they mail you the visas back. For a list of Indian embassies and consulates you can go to http://www.meaindia.nic.in/ and click on the link 'Missions and Post Abroad'. So the information given by Charelle is partly wrong and yes........no country in the world issues visas across the counter......and the Indian High Commission in London is much more efficient than the British High Commission in Delhi

i do not think this is a particular problem as long as you can spend a whole day there. It is a long wasted day though.
You can get the visa application on line. There is an Indian High Commission in London, Edinburgh and i think maybe Brimingham. Make sure you fill in the correct form for the correct High commission.
You queue up in the morning to hand in your application. Get there early because the queues are fantastic. Then you have to hang around all day and you pick up your passport again in the evening.
Better get your skates on .

Go to the Indian High Commission in person to get your visa. Get in the queue by 7.30am and you stand a good chance of getting your visa the same day.
