Do you really want to know, Miss Buttinski? While backpacking, I have used everything from leaves (hoping they weren't from a poison oak bush) to fir cones. Those 7-11 stores are hard to find in the designated wilderness areas. Not a pretty picture, I know, but when you are miles away from the nearest mall, you use what you have. Pages from The George W. Bush biography is always a good substitution choice.
