Do mock tests - it'll increase your IQ score when you take the standardised tests (since you'll have practiced the skills necessary to do the tasks quickly and accurately), but wont actually make you more intelligent.

Hello =)

Your IQ does increase, slowly, over time, until you are about 28, then it hovers for about a decade, and then slowly declines...

When I was 14, for example, my IQ was 146...... Now, it is only 129.....so, somewhere in the middle, I must have been really smart....LOL (I just don't seem to recall that time....)

You can train your mind to do better on IQ tests, by studying logic and reasoning, and, of course, keeping up your math skills, but, overall, there is little you can do to "truly" increase your IQ. There are foods that seem to maximize it, however, including those foods which contain certain fatty acids found in seafoods. You can also take fish-oil capsules to try and help, but we're talking maybe a 1% gain at most.

Namaste, and Happy New Year,

--Tom

Yes, we can increase our IQ by doing things that exercise the brain and stretch it's potential.

Breath deep. This is one of the easiest and most effective ways to improve the functioning of your brain immediately. By breathing deeply we relax and put more oxygen in the blood (therefore in the brain), both of which help. Relaxation has been proven to improve brain function. Low oxygen levels in the blood have been shown to decrease it. Since most of us are in the habit of breathing too shallowly, this is a quick way to increase IQ. By the way, if you breath through your nose, you are more likely to breath deeply.

there was one study in which a blue light was used when students studied and when their parents woke them up in the morning with the same blue light, their IQ gradually increased about 10 points.
