yes...some drag racer have this setup.

there are certain diesel applications with both,and a few drag racers have tried it in the outlaw classes but with limited success.usually supercharging is preferred for drag race but turbos are catching up real quick

I've never seen it in a race, but I would assume that it's posible. Anything is possible if you have the right tools, knowledge and money. I do know that old diesels ran that set-up...not sure if they do anymore though.
