Straight and gay. As if there are only two types of potatoes. Such a simplistic view of the world, especially when right here under your noses is a third sexuality, and four and a fifth and who knows how many more. Why persist trying to stuff us in the boxes prescribed by the control freaks of church and state going back 2000yrs to the dark ages.
That's the straight Christian view of the world-two boxes-good and evil people, heaven and hell people, blah, blah. Look we are all people and we are all different. Either get used to it all join a cult if you want a simple world. Try the KKK, they are very simple, white good, everything else bad. Why can't people just accept other human's without putting them in some stupid box and nailing the lid shut? If thats the type of society we want then wont we all end up gasping for air?

People, especially in our society, LOVE their false dichotomies. Male female. Man woman. Gay straight. For many people still, "colored" or white. It comes down to "mainstream" or "not-mainstream". Truth is, if you're not straight, they don't care what you are. It's literally all the same. As for why gay people go along with that BS, I'll never understand. Maybe it's easier to feel "us vs. them" (which you sometimes can't help but feel) when "us" is all defined as the same.

Actually the KKK is not that simple. White homosexuals, catholics and jews and liberals to name a few, are also bad, and white woman are only good if they can be used.

What you are talking about is simply human nature. Look at the Indian caste system. Talk about something that makes no sense whatsoever. Humans are comfortable when they can explain things in simple terms, when it gets complicated, they get fearful and start believing the world is coming to an end.

I've been with my g/f for 4 years, and since we live a Domination/submission lifestyle, where we both happen to be the same gender, even our friends are lost for a descriptive term. While I am bisexual, she is not sure she is, and both of us have long histories with heterosexual relationships, including marriage and children. However we are in love with each other, as well as the dynamic of D/s being the major focus of our lives. Then there is the Sm component, as I am also a Sadist and she is a masochist, and sexuality as described in heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual and transsexual, doesn't define our sexual dynamic in BDSM play.

I think people should just be who they are and not worry about what someone else calls them. To thine own self be true.

You got male and you got female. That's two. Everything else is just cultural indulgence, nothing more. There's been men on men and women on women since the beginnings of recorded history. Some cultures accepted it and others didn't. Look at how long the cultures ,that accepted non-normal activity, lasted. Not long, really. 300 years or so.

That there are only two types of people in the world -straight and gay- Is NOT the Christian worldview.
I'm a Christian, and in my view there are only two types of people in the world-those who are with Christ and those who are against Him.

pride in excess, when someone thinks theire better than the rest to the point of that emotion becoming a hate of every one who isn't like them because there better. what this comes from is someone fronting there security or ther excepts for them selves by showing that there so much better that they can rate every one and you shouldn't question them because they have every thing figured out and you now that you don't, it is just a gimmick for feeling better about them selves.

This is also were the hippies came in in the 60's and 70's.they were all about not fitting in to the classes that were set up by the old. the rebels tried to over through the controlling and failed.

There aren't only three or or for or five types of people. Gender and sexual orientation are not the only things that define and demarcate us. What we do is adopt labels (note I used the plural here) to better identify ourselves and facilitate tribalism. The stupidity is when one or many people choose to fixate on one of these labels to vilify it.

Michael E please take a course in History. LOL! Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Babylon, Assyria, Ancient Rome, ...

Every human being is bisexual to a greater or lesser degree.
Now, left alone with no religious brainwashing to cloud their mind, people will simply accept the fact and move on.
It's the people who have been brainwashed by outdated dogma that are the problem.

Because it is a lot simpler. You put the person in a box, you close the box, and that's it. You don't have to think about it anymore.

Why should you even care what people have to say. Be whatever you want to be. Society is made up of all types of people. Forget what people have to say and do and be what feels right to you.

Well for one it goes back way more than 2,000 years. All of recorded history, every civilization, every major religion (not just Christianity) has always regarded mankind as men and women and marriage as between the 2. I know you believe differently but that would be like someone who likes to steal saying he was born a thief and that they should be recognized as thief's. The reason many reject gay lifestyles is that it has been shown (along with divorce) to be detrimental to society which is dangerous to any nation.
