I've got a strange question for guys in their late teens - Has anyone thought that they were gay for some time, but later realized that they didn't really want to have sex ... with either gender? I'm just trying to figure myself out. I'm definitely not hetero, but the strong attractions I have to other guys seems completely non-sexual. Anyone else?

Wow, I feel exacly the same way. I'm 17 and I know i'm gay and I've even had crushes on guys but the weirdest thing was that I never wanted to get together with them and have a relationship. Nowadays, I feel like I don't ever want to have sex. I'd get turned on every now and again but i never get the desire for sex. Its weird. So I don't know da answer but let me know if you come across a good answer!!

Give yourself time to figure things out. Labels are overrated... even in the GLBT community.

But you bring up a question that people don't talk about a lot so I at least want to let you know it's out there... People don't talk about it often, but there are many people out there who don't really want to have sex with anyone. Some people look at it as an orientation, and others look at it as a medical disorder.

People who believe it's an orientation call it asexuality. People who call it a disorder call it inhibited sexual desire.

But, don't just go run out and label yourself now that you have this information! I just wanted to let you know that what you're experiencing is not abnormal. Give it some time, stop worrying about it, and things will sort themselves out on their own, okay?

Me the same sometimes, I have crushed on several guys but sometimes I feel afraid to have sex with them:P what I want is just a relationship. Yes in nowadays most of the gay even straights are horny at our age. It's horrible that seems no one wanna relationship but just sex:S anyways you are not non-sexual. Once you crushed o someone and you guys fall in love you will wanna have sex with him as well. just the way you crushed on him is not from the sexual way. that's it:P

we are all different, time will tell but don't let people tell you whats normal as there is no such thing as normal and the truth of that will provably keep ringing home all your life. But beware there are plenty of people out there who will demand normal even though in reality it only exists as a veil conceiling what lays below. When someone wants you to be 'normal,' they want to either varrify their own twisted view of normal, help to prove to themselves that they are normal, or indoctrinate and control you. Just be who you are because everyone else is taken.

Are you in any way not comfortable with yourself?
Is your self esteem OK?
Sounds to me,that you have to figure out for yourself what It is you want.
Did you already talk to anyone about it?
You are allowed to use my messenger, only if you are serious.Otherwise I'd rather spend my time on other things OK?

Sounds like a major personal problem, maybe seeking out some counseling would do you some good. Good luck with that

Not have sex with either gender? Is that some sort of a BAD dream?

Your still very young. Give yourself time and you will find what you want in the end. Don't rush into anything just yet.
Good luck and happy 2007.

There might be other stuff going on. If there is, and you know what it is, take care of that and the other stuff will work itself out. If not, it'll still probably work itself out with time.
