Make him believe that he is doing a good job, and give him what he wants for a month, Then when he does something bad, fly off the handle, cry then sleep on it. Wake up in the morning and say " I wish we didn't fight" and then make him promise to do it better next time to make you happy. Coz if he loved you, he would want to make you happy like you make him happy! he he he

It seems so sad that you are hung up on a guy that you have to manipulate to change him. What a bummer. You should either accept him or leave him.
You can give him an ultimatum but be sure you don't back down or you will be messing over yourself.
