I have talked to my children since they were probably three about "lady time." Sex and changing body parts are normal and natural. Our bodies were designed and created by G-D. I just discussed sex and the puberty changes with my son who is 9. He has known little bits and pieces from the time he was small. Don't tell them everything at three, but that our bodies are wonderful and beautiful creations. The older they get, explain a little more. My dad told me that sex was something nasty and sleezy and never let boys "get into my pants." Well, yuck! I told my kids that sex is something so precious and wonderful to share with someone YOU love and that loves you back! (Preferably when you get married, but...) It is something that can only be given ONCE, so don't just do it because everyone else is doing it. Sex is spiritual to me, and I hope to my kids, when they get ready for it! Answer questions honestly, but at a level that they can understand. No cabbage patch stories. Good Luck
