depends - if it's a book full of facts then there will be different headers for different topics, with a list of what is on each page at the front and an index at the back. if it is an autobiography it is just like a story book with a begining middle and end, who, what ,where, when, why.

In many ways a non fiction book can be set out in a much looser way than fiction. Ok, dictionaries are usually in alphabetical order, but a book of maps for instance could just have a random set of maps. Going in a time order (from an earlier period of history and finishing at now) is popular. Roget's Thesarus came up with a unique way of being set up.
