a diamond duck is out without facing ball, so usually that is "Run out", but could also be "Timed out" or "Obstructing the field", though this is rare.
any timed out dismissal would be a diamond duck. to be out obstructing the field for a diamond duck, you would have to do it b4 facing a ball (eg, stopping the fielder catching your batting partner)
no player has ever been timed out in test cricket history.
only one player has been out obstructing the field in test history, and three people in one day cricket have been out this way
a golden duck is out first ball, a 'pair' is 2 ducks in the same test match, a 'king pair' is 2 golden ducks in the same test match, adam gilchrist did this against india in 2001, out lbw first ball both innings.

A zero-ball duck occurs when a Batman begins his innings at the non-strikers' end, and is the run out before he has the chance to face a single ball. Cricket fans all agree that this type of duck has its own special name, but there is no consensus regarding exactly what that name is. Names used include diamond duck, black duck, glass duck, sapphire duck. Historically, golden duck was also used in this context, before it was used to apply to a first-ball duck.
