That's down to personal choice. I've always slept on the left side.

Hmmmmm? I suspect there is no, real, CORRECT with regard to what SIDE you sleep on. I've been sleeping every day for 63 years, and I have very little design in mind to do so.

In my case, I might sleep on my right side if I happen to be on the left side of the bed, and vice versa. I also prefer sleeping on my stomach, though it's not recommended by the medical community. Their suggestion is to sleep on ones back.

I also supect at some point in the process your body will "CHOOSE" what positions IT sleeps in.

Now do you mean on the right or left side of the bed? Or do you mean on your right or left side?

I know that I always tend to fall asleep on my right side but often wake up on me left. I turn a lot. I think it depends on where you're most comfortable and if you've ever had any injuries to your body that may prevent you from getting comfortable in certain positions. Comfort is the main key when falling asleep.

Now if you mean the side of the bed, I guess that's all based on preference.

It's best to sleep on the right side or your back.

According to my knowledge, sleep on right is better because you heart is at the left side and you will give it pressure if you always sleep on your left side...and your heart will have to work harder.

I THINK IT'S A PERSONAL PREFERENCE. SLEEPING ON YOUR LEFT SIDE COULD POSSIBLY LOWER YOUR HEART RATE SINCE THE LEFT SIDE OF THE HEART IS THE PUMPING CHAMBER. I FEEL IT'S WHATEVER IS COMFORTABLE FOR YOU. YOU MAY ALSO NEED TO SLEEP IN CERTAIN OR DIFFERENT POSITIONS FOR COMFORT IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION.

if you are prone to reflux or indigestion, better to sleep on your left side, as that leaves the entrance to your stomach below your esophagus, not above where it can back up into it more easily.
