Whose idea was it to put up all of these Holiday decorations only to now have to take them down, box them up and store them for a whole other year?

And what do I do with this dried up old tree?

And do I really have to tackle that refund/exchange line for a gift from Aunt Edna that I didn't even want??

It has always been more fun decorating a tree than taking it down...that is just such a chore.
A friend of mine suggested that one should buy a cheap tree and cheap ornaments(dollar store) and wrap the whole thing in a garbage bag and throw it out when done...something to think about.lol
And I never ever ever return any gift from anybody...I think that is so mean and disrespectful after the person that gave that to you went through all the trouble standing in line getting that gift for you...
I am on the other hand not opposed to re - gifting and I am known to hold a yard sale once in a while....wink.

There's such a thing as the After New Year/Before Christmas Grinch (i.e. the other 358 days of the year). I've been called it a few times myself.

You ought to recycle the dried up old tree. And wait until late January to tackle the return line...but that's just me, I'm a man...I feel chest pains when I walk into most retail stores :-)

YES, you are the AFTER CHRISTMAS GRINCH! Ha Ha, just think of all the excitement next year when we get to do it all again. You can wait a few days or a week or two till the line goes down at exchange/refund line. Or recycle your unwanted gift on to someone else. Lighten up. You need to leave your decorations up till after January 1st. It's for good luck! Least that's what I was taught, I guess about everyone in my town was taught like that cause they are still lit up at New Years. WHY NOT, it's kinda all one package, THE HOLIDAYS...............

Leave your decorations up for the whole year if you want to, who says you have to take them down?

Make a bonfire with your dried up old tree, and roast some marshmallows.

The gift from Aunt Edna, re-gift, give it to some other deserving friend or loved one, one less give to buy!

Happy New Year!

I leave up some of the white lights we have strung around the living room up all year. It's purdy. It's like having candlelight without the fire hazard!
