So the guy i like did this really stupid thing to get my number. Like he used my phone to call his own cell phone and said that he was calling his "friend", but he didn't know that i knew his number (got it from his friend) so i just went along with it and didn't bust him out. Then after he was done with the phone call i asked him why didn't he just call with his phone, he said that he left it at home so i was like okay. then i asked what his friend say and he just said that no one picked up. then later i looked up the number he called and looked up his number, it was the same number. So my question is, why didn't he just ask me for my number? and since he got my number now, why isn't he calling me?
by the way we're only one year apart, he's a senior, and i'm a junior.

thanks for all the answers! but he's not the shy type of guy. actually he's pretty open, and we talk a lot and we hugged a few times too but it's just that i know how he is and everything so i don't know if he likes me or not. and if he's opened to me in person, why wouldn't he just call me if he likes me? that's what's making me re-think everything over and that's why i asked you guys. thank you.

aaahhhh... the kind of love that makes you shake to the bone... those were the young love i had...
He obviously like you enough to want to get your number. But, because of shyness, or unsure-ness, resorted to getting your number through an easier way without rejection.
he probably is thinking if he can get enough courage to give you a call... and probably thinking how you would react... like do you favour him? does he have a chance?
Don't think too much about it... The ball is in his court.. let him make the first move. He probably will... just stay cool... and carry on with living

Guys are still immature at that age. Most of them anyway, which is why he didn't just ask for your number. He might be trying to figure out if you like him or not before he calls. Because he doesn't want to look stupid if you don't. He also could be trying to come up with a clever line for when you ask him how he got your number. Good luck though.

how about the idea that he may be a little scared that you might not have given it to him. The other think is now that you have his number why not all him and see how he is.
Start up a conversation and see how things flow.
he may not know if you are interested or not and that might have been his way to see if you would. call.
Start with BTW I just happened to have your number on my phone So how are you and just go with the flow if you like him and he likes you the beginning of a relationship might be in the works. Good Luck

He was probably too shy to ask, he might have thought you would reject him... yeah, from what you said I think he likes you but doesn't know if you like him. He's probably getting up the courage to call. I think you should give him a chance, he may like you very much.

boys sometimes play such games. He has your number but he does not have the courage to call you up nor does he have the appropriate words to woo you. You may be his junior but at heart he is your junior. Maybe, he wants the action but does not know how to act.
