A Few

Defo dont buy them.
Try Zyban, it kinda works by initially telling the chemicals in the brain to back off with the demand for nicotine, I fell off the waggon after this but giving up again after that was easier, did not need to take zyban or any other NRT just cold turkey.
I really liked the nicotine high , it just came at a high price ..smelling horrible, house stinks of smoke, car, fingers, smokers cough, dried out face.
Try breathing deeply any time your stressed

I have tried for years---no luck. Fortunately, I only smoke a couple of cigs a day, and a pack can last me more than a week. My ex-wife quit successfully after having a 2-pack a day habit. I would have taken bets against it. I am so proud of her. My advice---go somewhere for a weekend, ie: camping, where you have no chance of smoking. try to quit for 48 hours before that. After 3-4 days of not smoking, the theory is that the physical addiction is gone---but my ex-mother-in-law who quit smoking over 30 years ago says she still gets an occasional craving... There is reportedly a shot you can get that stops the cravings, and the gum is said to be useful too. My advice---eat really healthy foods, exercise, get laid a lot, and when you get a craving, just tell yourself, "maybe I'll smoke one in a couple of hours...but not now." And---stay away from people who smoke---even if they are your friends---until you have been smoke-free for at least a month. I have quit for as long as 7 months, but when stress came along I would fold like a cheap suit...

drink lots of water, take vitimin B, cut some carrots in strips and when you have a craving, eat them. You have to break the habit of when you usually smoke,ie: when your sitting at the computer, and the first thing you do is to light up..grab a carrot stick and a glass of water. With both hands full its impossible to light up. Now if you want to really get help, ask your doctor, there is a new drug out that really works. It lets you continue smoking for a week, then all of a sudden, your ciggerettes taste horrible. If you go that route, still use the water , vitimin B, and the carrots..that will detox your body. Good luck!

To stop the cravings try to throw away your cigarrets and see how you feel, go to the store and buy some normal gum any flavor you want, if that doesnt work try asking some body at a pharmacy what kind of items they have to stop smoking som may cost a lot but it will be worth it.

I quit 3 years ago and only get really bad cravings when drunk. I had to avoid social drinking for a wee while to get my head round it - when i do get the urge for one i go find something to occupy my hands more than anything else. I find if i get preoccupied with something else i forget about the craving and it passes. I know some people find it harder than others - are you using patches or gum. I know one woman who uses lozenges when she gets a craving - she is giving up so that she can look after her granddaughter when her daughter returns to work. Try making an aim for yourself and save your ciggie money you will be surprised by how much you save - find a luxury item you would really like and save it up use this as your incentive - you have to stay off the cigs to have it. Good luck - it gets easier the longer you are off them x

Count your days. You earn them. Each day is a victory. Each week, each month, every year is a satisfaction, knowing you are no longer enslaved by smoking paraphernalia: lighters, matches, teeth whiteners, mints, ashtrays, and smokes.

Nor will your upper lip wrinkle or will you develop a deeply wrinkled face and neck. You won't have to speak through mechanical device at the hole in your throat.

I call that victory every day. I'd kill myself if I had to use a machine to speak through - if I had a hole in my neck! Ugh. I also don't want to have a wrinkle mustache.

Vanity made me quit after too many years of smoking.

Read Allan Carrs book, bless him, it worked for me!!!
One week of hell, while your body re adjusts to the lack of nicotine, then the rest is REALLY up to you.
I could probably enjoy a cigarette even now, (16 years ago I packed up) But .... I know that its a bit like being an Alcoholic, you will always be a smoker, but not smoking anymore, you are bigger and wiser then that little roll of crap!!! Go for it !
You WONT regret it, honest! Happy Smoke Free New Year.
