Okay, this question has been asked many times, but let me see if I can help you out.

Since DC Comics has these two superheroes at the top of their list, making them fight with each other is always a big hit. However, it is usually unresolved in the end, because its much more entertaining (not to mention makes more money for DC) if they dont give the answer. So, in order to look at the better "butt-kicker", we have to look at what both heroes can do.

Batman, as we know, is a master fighter, having expert skills in all sorts of martial arts, weapon use, and his own analytical mind. Not to mention the infamous Bat-gadgets, which do include Kryptonite. He only has that, however, because Superman gave it to him. So, if Superman didnt have any powers, Batman would most assuredly win. Now I'm sure you're saying "but Batman could just use the Kryptonite, and it would be over easily". Thats not neccessarilly true, and here's why.

As was previously mentioned, there was a story line called "The Dark Kinght Returns", where Batman did actually take Superman down with Kryptonite. But that story was not considered to be in the regular comic book timeline, so lets take it out for the moment. Lets take a look at what Superman can do, and the effects that Kryptonite has.

Superman, as we all know, can fly, has an array of vision powers, is invulnerable, and has very nice red undies. Now, Kryptonite can take him out...a) eventually, and b) only if he is close enough to it. Kryptonite doesnt kill him on the spot, it slowly kills him from radiation. It's like a human being exposed to a chunk of Uranium. You wont just keel over, you'l cringe and cry first. Same effect. And again, proximity is important. The range that Superman can be affected by Kryptonite, depending on the size of course, is about 10 feet for a baseball sized chunk. So if Batman has his piece and they are fighting at close range, thaen Batman would win.

However, lets not forget. Superman has many long-range powers at his disposal. He can fly, which is a big one, but he also has heat vision, arctic breath, and his speed. Usiong any or all of these would assure that Superman could probably win against Batman.

Hope that helps...

Yeah, unless Batman has prep time. Batman has beaten Superman on numerous occasions when Superman was under the influence of red kryptonite (the stuff that makes him all evil) using brains and some green kryptonite.

I think so. What powers does batman have really?
Ok so i asked around and it turns out that even though Superman is suppose to be the strongest man in the world right. Batman is really really really rich.
In battle of strenght superman is suppose to win. But since batman has all that money, he could any amount Kyrptonite to beat the crap out od superman. So the fight could go either way. i woul;d love to see it though. They could through Spiderman in for the fun.

During the series Justice League, Batman caried kryptonite in his utility belt and when asked why he answered, "Just in case." With out the kryptonite I would say yes but Batman is usually prepared for most anything, including Superman.

If the writers of these cartoon figures desire it, these two heroes can go into a fight to demonstrate a winner, it could be Superman or it could be Batman, it is up to the writers of the two heroes to decide.

He should, but he hasn't had much luck with that. Its usually the Bat that wins whenever they have a little spat. I think its 3:1...advantage Batman. Just read the times they've fought.
