i am trying to find a traditional stereo stack system (in the u.k), turntable,cassette deck,tuner / amp,cd player,the only thing i can find in the shops now are these vile little mini systems my old aiwa system is now 17 years old and still sounds great but it's starting to fall to bits !!! and i still need to be able to play my vinyl,i know i'm old fashioned but please help!!!.

Have a look at the Richer Sounds Web Site, sorry I don't have a link for you but a google or similar will find it.
(P.S. they are not great at Turntables)

Excellant shop for stack systems. I have an old technics i brought from them, amp, dc player etc when i was 13, I'm 27 now and still using it, no problems. Much better sound then the crummy mini systems.

i bought a goodmans with record player/cassette/cd/graphic equalizer model number mx3003 midi system which is over a foot high,dont know if it still produced,

go to Argos search for hi fi separates or look in their catalogue but if you've got loads of money go to a Sony centre in your local high street
