The guy then has no soul and goes around murdering people. In one scene he gets trapped in a walk-in freezer and then pretends to have refrozen before killing someone who goes to check. I watched this film about 15 years ago when I was way too young and I want to see it again to help me alleviate my fears. Any suggestions as to the title???

Clive Baker did this movie. I just bought it and can't think of the name. His family was rich and owned a big company. His mother wanted him to be bought back from the dead, and a doctor did it and he killed a few people. Even the dog. I bought it at a video store used for $5.99 just the other day.
