Whenever I have a flat tire, my husband uses soapy dishwater to find the leak if it is not apparent. The soapy water bubbles up when it reaches the air coming out of the tire because you wouldn't immerse the tire in water either. Maybe it would work with waterbed?.

Use a paintbrush with soapy water. Start with the valve where you fill it, then work your way down all the seams. Then ove the entire surface. If there is a leak, it will show up as bubbles.

Prepare yourself...
You locate the general area of the leak by the noise...then you spit.
Soapy water works too but not as good as old fashioned spit. It will bubble pretty easily and give it away.

use tissue, cover one side with a light tissue, if it is 2 ply you might want to seperate the plys and apply pressure to one side and try to force the leak out. repeat with different sections of the bed until you find the leak.
