a chef - thats a qualification even if you dont have a paper saying so

you have life experience.

ps: if you are coming here to work, make sure you do it the proper way and get a working visa (or customs will not let you in if they suspect things)

plus, you will need money to support you during your stay unless you have family who will sponsor you to live here

good luck :)

Hi we were looking at moving to Australia as well a while back, i am a Chef as well with the same experience as you (i am qualified as well) but back to the point my husband is a computer programmer and when we took the test for immigration they were more keen to have me immigrate than him which well upset him, i think the fact that i am 5 years younger helped as well.. All i can say is that for a job everybody says is rubbish (being a chef) i have been told that i would have no problem getting a job in the USA or Australia, i would go for it, i would if circumstances were different....

um not sure. It is hard to get in there. It just depends what the country needs at the time. If the country needs chefs then they might take you although it is usually just docs lawyers and the like that they take in. It's worth a try though.
Good Luck

People can give you all the answers they want, BUT the main source for sure information is the Embassy at your country of residence.

They will provide you with detailed information, and to have your skills evaluated they will supply you with the contact information of Professional Organizations that cater to your specialty, no matter what it is. Those organizations will provide you and the dept responsible of issuing your visa with the proper evaluation of your skills, and also the needs for it there.

Any other answers you get, I would simply call them OPINIONS not ANSWERS

Good luck

If you can work for a living and won't be a burden on the public purse.
