It means that the item is available only until they run out. Usually used in a store sales promotion. Like, they advertise PS3 for $100...and they only have three available. So if you get there early you get one.

If the supply runs out, you're out of luck.

If your advertiser is honest it would mean when I sell the last one there is no more.
But it could mean I can get as many of these as I want but I want you to rush to my shop now. Or I don't have these anymore but if you rush down to my shop I'll try to sell you something else. Or if you rush down to my shop now I'll place an order with my crack addict supplier (if they haven't been gaoled yet) to see if they can steal one for you.Pretty much anything they want it to mean.
If you substitute "this item may or may not be for sale" is a safe translation

for example if you make 100 products to sell, once 100 orders are placed then supplies are gone and no more sales can take place.

The store only has certain quantities and they will not restock or give rainchecks, so as long as they have, they will give ti away or sell it, but once that commodity is gone, that's it

It means when all of the, e.g. kettles, currently in stock are sold, you won't be able to buy one, i.e. order from a catalogue, the store isn't going to order anymore kettles from its supplier, etc.
