my baby is ten and a half months now and i give him 8oz formula in a morning followed by his breakfast an hour later. a 5oz formula with his dinner, a 5oz formula with his tea and a 8oz before bed am i giving him too much

No your giving him the perfect amount. 26 boz is what a baby that eats solids should get from the bottle daily. Your giving him the right amount if he doesnt' look like he is getting to big and he doesn't have trouble stooling or digesting it then you are fine.

Maybe you are giving him too much, don't forget babies are supposed to be weaned fully at the age of 12 months and off formula, try giving a non sugar juice as an alternative and give your baby more nibbles

Most pediatricians recommend around 24 oz of formula for this age, so it sounds like you are doing things right :)

The baby will only eat what it wants shoot my 10 month old eats milk like crazy. So just let the baby decide.

if he seems healthy, that amount should be fine. his pediatrician should have the ultimate say though.
