I just read a comment on that and it struck me as being true, the acoustic guitar being the curvier ideal of the 50s and 60s, and the electric guitar being a less curvy, thinner, stick figure.

Everything has art. Likewise singing is art and what would embody more art than a guitar carved from a woman's figure? It lends beauty and style to the instrument. As the fingers strum the strings and produce sweet music, so does the man's fingers create amazing music with a woman's body.

That depends on whether or not you think it is coincidence to the fact that it has a richer resonance when shaped that way rather than a straight skinny box that is only as wide as the gap between the arm and the leg when played while sitting....but I like that thought too LOL
