May be a problem with your automatic choke.

Do some basic servicing yourself,

1. Clean the air filter
2. Remove and clean or replace spark plugs
3. Check HT leads if damaged replace them
4. Change oil and filter
5. Use Reddex additive in your fuel (just as a 1 off)
6. Change distributor cap and rotor arm

That little lot should cost you no more that £50. Probbaly even less, it will take you about a morning to do. If you know nothing about cars get a haynes manual from halfords, that will point you in the right direction.

Either put a new elastic band on or try the ignition timing

Could be a dirty jets problem. Try a fuel injector cleaner additive to your fuel.

i think you should simply try wd40 on the acellerator under the bonet.
it worked for my dads corsa m8.
