I feel less invaded by Arabs than by Americans, culturewise. Sure, people at the grocery store might wear burkas and your bus driver might have a halting Finnish, but that is minor compared to how much of prime time television is american (not in any official language of Finland at all!).

If the kebab shops happen to outnumber macdonalds here, that is only a good thing as you get more and better for the same amount of money.

If we are worrying about a our culture being compromised, then it is already too late for that, but the source certainly isn't from Arabia.

That assumes (wrongly) that the previous definition of Europe had anything to do with ethnicicty and culture, and it also assumes (wrongly) that Arabs were never a part of European culture. For thousands of years, the nations in Europe and the Middle East have changed hands back and forth between invading influences. We're talking war here. Those invasions had marked impressions on the culture, language, traditions, and people that reside there today. To say that Arabs migrating northward to Europe is somehow making it "Eurabia" is outrageous and uninformed.

Why did the 7th-8th century Islamic Arabic expansion stopped short at the southern Mediterranean shores (from Syria to Sicily and Spain)?

In the same vein, the present and future European continent will not take a step backward to embrace a foreign culture or religion that offers little in the advancement of a civilized society.
