G'day,

You will need to purchase a Windows XP Pro upgrade (SP2) version and install it using the CD.

Might want to wait until Windows Vista comes out next year.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Unless you are in a network environment or wish to access your computer over a network/Internet then there would very little advantage. As for the upgrade there is no problem but there is a program on the Microsoft website to check if your computer will be able to run windows vista, if it does then save your money a while and upgrade at the this release.

Simply purchase the Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 upgrade license and media, and then boot from it!

Can i suggest, if you haven't already done so, that you compare both first to determine if there's any advantage for you in having the Pro version? Lot's of people find there isn't! Just trying to save you money . . .
