Why Sony Play Station 3 game is not available in India officially yet?

Please tell me reason why all Sony products launched late in India?

India comes into Asia pacific Region. So it takes time to launch Sony products in India. they first get launched in Singapore.

we are not expecting the ps3 here in the UK until march the 7th at the earliest.
