according to the Roman Catholic Church one of the most problematic issues that come with human cloning is the fact that it destroys human dignity. for one it puts the power of creation into man's disposal which shouldnt be the case and two the main question on what happens to the clone. theoretically the clone would have no soul since it is a by-product of man's greed and something that was created without God's true consent making it more of a thing rather than a being.
so. there is no soul.

Hello =)
Well....you start out with a pretty big presumption......that humans have souls to begin with.
I am reasonably sure, after 40 some years of searching, that I have no such "thing" as a soul. Can't find it.....not there...
Now, I don't know if this is a birth-defect, or if the rest of humanity is delusional, and, of course, I will never know the answer to this question.
But, if other humans have souls, and a soul is a "condition" of being alive, then, I rather imagine that a clone would have a soul....perhaps a "similar" soul to that of his "donor", but a soul nonetheless. We now know that a human clone would not be "identical" in every way to its donor. We have seen that from the cloned dogs and cats....genetically, it would be identical, but not identical looking...so.....I assume the same would be true of the soul, again, assuming you just aren't all delusional about having this "soul-thing" that I don't seem to have.
Namaste, and Happy New Year,
--Tom

yes,
the way cloning works is that the DNA of a fertilized egg is changed with that of the DNA to be cloned, the egg is then implanted in a surrogate and grows to full term.
so what you have is a baby with the same DNA as the donor.
Cloning does NOT produce an exact copy of the person being cloned at the time of cloning only an exact replica of That persons DNA in a newborn which then must grow to maturity at the same rate as everyone else.

A cloned human would still have to be gestated in a womb, born, raised, nurtured like any human. A clone is not a photocopy!
If all humans have souls, so will it; if humans don't have souls, it won't. What do you believe?

Well, do you believe that identical twins both have souls?
Identical twins are humans that share the same genetic information. If identical twins have individual souls, then clones would too, after all they're basically identical twins (only one would be born sometime later than the other).

The clone will not have a soul. It is just another identical person.

Soul and Clone are the two contradiction of each others
if one exists then other don't and vice versa
so we cannot say anything with certainity
