I am thinking that the census bureau has detailed files available for free to the public.
You don't want to go out knocking on doors.. too many "kookies" out there just looking for someone to shoot at...

I don't know if you can check them out but I suggest that through their taxes, socio-economic of a rural households would be elaborated and studied.

The sample-size is supposed to give you a taste of that product in hopes that you will, someday, buy more of that product for your needs.
So, the size is usually just enough to try once, maybe twice, if lucky. . .
You must know how this works, marketing, right?
