I prefer the conclusion of the former hostage in Iraq who says that Saddam should be trained as a bricklayer and made to repair some of the damage inflicted on Iraq, not that Saddam inflicted the damage, America and Britain did that, but that won't satisfy the Western need to kick a man, even one like Saddam, when he's down. Incidentally, Saddam was an extremely harsh ruler but he did keep his country stable. Most Iraqis would like that stability back again.

Probably not, I'm sure there is still a public executioner in Iraq but he'd probably wish to remain anonymous. Sadly I think that after the execution we will see worse acts of terrorism because Saddam will become a martyr, and therefore a semi-religious figurehead to the nutters out there.

Capital punishment is not only morally wrong it is compounded even further as Bush and Blair waged an illegal war. Nations who use or condone such punishments will look back in future generations at the futility of such actions as we do now on the burning of witches.

I agree with gorgeousf, what we should be worrying of is the result(s) of his execution.Since his downfall there have been reports of violence and we should not expect this to stop once he is despatched. When he said "he is a sacrifice and that Iraq's should unite "I believe he was sending a secret message to his followers ,he did not mean what he was saying.

I wish that your country would take a more responsible attitude to the lives of other people. Why is America such a militaristic nation? Is it the total misunderstanding that other peoples and cultures exist? You guess..... if you can.

I think Blair is going to put the rope around his neck, and Bush is going to get 15,000 marines to kick the stool away.
