I would be very cautious of that sort of thing. There are a lot of predators out there. It is quite common for a perv to pretend to be young and lure a child to "meet" them and then there is trouble. I don't know how your parents feel about R rated movies, but there is a movie (Hard Candy) that is now on DVD that is just about that sort of thing.

My advice: Stay away from the chat rooms.... Don't give out any personal information on the computer... (My Space.... sooooooo many kids are "not too bright" in that department...) Be careful!!!

Its ok to like someone over the internet and im sure many people have made friends etc this way, but you need to think .. do you even know this person?
its all nice and stuff talking on the phone, but its a dangerous world out there and do you really know who you are speaking with over the phone as there are many people who arent who they say they are
You are young and can be vunerable, so be very careful and dont ever give out personal details

It is very possible to "fall" for someone on line. But the one thing I will point out is that it can be very dangerous also. Even though you speak to him on the phone, does not mean he is who he claims to be, even if he has sent a picture. Be careful!!!
I have chatted on line with people and exchanged phone numbers and chatted over the phone, and even have met them but.....many times who I thought I was speaking to I truly was not. But I will say this, I very happy with the man of my dreams at this point....and yes we met on line. Just be very careful with giving too much information to this person he could be anyone.

Of course you can have a crush over Internet, although it's not recommended. You never know if this boy is actually 17, and if he sent you some pictures, you never know if that's actually the picture of himself (f. e. he could have found them on internet). And the worse thing is that you can't meet him... unless you are from the same town, or same region of some country. So be aware of him, you never know who lays behind those "sweet messages and sexy voice" :)

Overall, Chatting is trickey business. there are few ppl who got clicked on the internet and lived happily for the rest. the only prob with internet chatting is most of the chatting is for timepass and fun. if this boy lives locally you can arrange a meeting with him and talk face to face. see what happens. if he does not live locally try to remain friends with some distance. you are still 15 and got planty of time. so dont rush. if you like to chat with him. carry on.

i enjoyed the online conversation of one girl so much i proposed to her. but she excused herself from me and told me she was getting married somewhere else.

just a little reminder about online chat clubs, there are indeed wolves out there that will devour young ladies, the minute they can get you to meet them.
The best place to socialize is still at school and dating for fun and excitement should be prioritized to seeking someone to marry. Doing fun things should only be believed as a secondary goal of dating.
Never meet a stranger alone and never be alone with the opposite sex. Keep chastity until you get married.

Sure you can. And it's not a bad think to call him if you like each other. Just make sure he's not actually a middle aged pervert, looking for naive teenage girls. And if you'll ever meet him in person, make it in a public place, maybe a restaurant. Bottom line: he could really be OK, so just give it a shot.
