There is a very simple answer to this question:
Remember when you were a kid and you did something stupid that a friend told you to do.
You tell your Mum : " But Johnny told me to do it ! "
You Mum then says : " If Johnny told you to jump off a cliff, would you do it ? "
So, the terrorist says " Bin Laden told me to do it ! "
Simple, sad, but true.
Why does the terrorist feels the need to drag a few innocent people over the cliff with him ? - The answer to that question is much more complicated.

Suicide bombings are not only unique to Islam, there have been many instances of Hindu, Sikh and Tamil suicide bombers, for example.
Talking about what is "right" ot "wrong" in Islam would not answer the question. There are reasons why someone blows themselves up, whether this is "religiously" right or wrong is irrelevent. What a person thinks is what ai person thinks.
A person will willingly kill themselves because they firmly believe that they are headed to a better place and will be rewarded for their sacrifice. The casualties, civillian or otherwise, are considered trivial if compared to the "good" that will result from the suicide mission, such as weakening the enemy, or even killing off a few non-believers. I am just stating what they believe, i do not support any of this nonesense.
When a person's life is miserable and their country is wallowed in problems, social, economic and political, then religion and religious doctrine becomes one of the few remainig escapes from this bleak existence. A promise of "eternal paradise" can be irresistable to many.
There is also the added "aura" and "effect" of a suicide mission, knowing that a person willingly did this, as opposed to just blowing up a building the "regular" way, for lack of a better term. The pscychological effect of a suicide mission is far greater than that of a regular blast.
That is the explanation as simply as a could put it.

Different country and different beliefs. They feel they are serving their own gods will and feel as though they will be treated like kings when they die. But in a sense can you really blame them for feeling this way? Look at all the stupid stuff that goes on in their country every day. All the dumb rules that even cartain wealthy families make up for them to follow, they are rebelling against those rules. They only want freedom from those rules and regulations that are just made up at random for someone elses pleasure.
All they want is to be free from all that crap, but we see it as terrorism, in a sense yes, they are being selfish, and are doing things wrong by killing innocent victims and everything. The problem normally stems from their own family never stepping in and stoppoing them from those beliefs for fear of their own lives.
Think about it like this, say a familiy member you knew joined up with a dangerous gang. Now say there are tons and tons of gangs that basically rule the streets, and there's very little the police can do to stop these gangs. Now would you risk your own life, or the life of your entire family to help this 1 family member that wants to join one of these dangerous gangs? Probably not because you know the consequences, you'd have no choice but to try to forget about that family member.
Just because you want to keep the rest of your family safe, that's what those people go through on a daily basis, and that's what the troops are there to try to prevent, now you know why they do what they do.

It is not that simple. These places are under surveillance. Either the general populace or security guards would see the bombs. Then bomb squads would be called in and they would be taken care of. Even if the bomb squad team dies, no civilians would be hurt because they would have been safely evacuated.
Having someone blow him self up on the spot prevents civilans from being evacuated or the bombs being spotted in advance. Also, they know there will be at least one casualty.
The bomber thinks he is going to heaven. I think he is either going to purgatory or hell.

The terrorists that blow themselves up are not Muslims, because suicide is a major sin in Islam. These people are normally young, impressionable men who have been brainwashed by radicals who, if were speaking the truth, would do it themselves. But no, they get other people to do it. They tell these young men that by blowing themselves up they will be rewarded in heaven- THIS IS NOT TRUE IN ISLAM. For all the people who tar every Muslim with the same brush, I suggest you open your minds a little.

It wouldn't be easy to just carry in and setup the explosives undetected in a building. Strapping on the explosives virtually guarantees success and through self sacrifice, they feel they are moving onto a better life.

Terrorists strapped themselves with explosives to kill people around them - that's the inhuman objective; not to bring down buildings. Amount of explosives to bring down a building might be too heavy, too conspicuous to carry on themselves.

Cause the silly F***ers haven't got the brains they were born with. If the likes of Bin Laden really felt that his cause was just then he would have been the first one to sacrifice himself!

Friend , it boils down to brainwashing.By the way which god would want a heaven full of suicide bombers ?And again which god could order people to kill themselves and other innocent people to get into heaven ? These people end up in hell , no doubt about it,unless they have own heaven prepared by their bosses. For those who are about to join this st***d act , please ask yourself first, why is it that your bosses don't do it themselves, don't they want to go to heaven too?
