"Do not go gentle into that good night" is a villanelle written by Dylan Thomas about the impending death of his father. The verse form requires the repetition of that line and the line "rage, rage against the dying of the light" throughout the poem. Because his father was unware of the seriousness of his condition, the poem could not be published until after his father had died.
There is an analysis of the poem at this link: http://poetry.suite101.com/article.cfm/dylan_thomas___do_not_go_gentle_

Do Not Go Gentle into that Good night
by Dylan Thomas.
It's a villanelle, a particular poetic form which repeats two lines at prescribed points in the poem. The other repeated line is:
Rage, rage, against the dying of the light
It's about death, and is often used at funerals, especially of those who have died before their time.

Well it's definitely close to something said by the Welshman Dylan Thomas. Can't recall the name of the poem though.

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
