I have v. small lump on one of my testicles - looks just like a hair follicle but is ever so slightly bigger and a bit painful when pressed. Is thos just a cyst or something more sinister? It's definitely on the skin, and not actually on the the testicle.

And before anyone says 'Go to the doctor', I'm doing that anyway!

Thanks

It may well be a furuncle, which is an infection of a hair follicle. If it is, the doc will probably squeeze it and give ya some antibiotics.

This sounds like the begginings of a scrotal abscess or maybe something more sinister. Going to the doc is the best advice anyone can give right now so you are doing the right thing.

Good I am glad your going to the doctor as any foreign lumps, bumps or seemingly harmless articles appearing on your body warrant a visit to your doctor. It sounds to me as though its an ingrown hair from what you have said & this will easily be treated. I hope all is well for you...take care.

Its probably nothing and especially since it si a bit painful. Some forms of testicular cancer are however very aggressive so you must not delay in going to your GP.
