If discovered and treated early, ick are usually not deadly. Do more water change, that will keep water condition good which in turn allow the fish's health to improve. Add some salt 1~2g per litre and increase temp (30degree C) alittle to speed up the treatment period.

Do check that the med you use to kill the ich do not kill of your Beneficial Bacterial. If it does, do make sure you take all precaution you would take during cycling. Many people miss this part and end up having Ammonia kill their fishes.

Anyway since all 3 fantail are suffering from the same problem, you could leave them togather. But do make sure water parameter is good, ie. zero/low ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

The blotches sound like a bacterial infection. You should use Clout to treat ich (if you have it) and use EM tablets to treat the bacteria. Raise the temperature a few degrees of the water while you treat and do a 30% water change (with a gravel siphon) every day you are treating. Treat everybody in the tank.
