Hug and kiss her. DUH. If not an option, drop your pants suddenly, on accident.
If not an option, give her a gift she is not expecting.
If not an option, hand her a note that tells her what time you can talk about the issue at hand and give her the full attention she deserves.
It is my expereince that men do not know how to get women to be quiet because they do not know when or how to be properly attentive.
If it is the end of the day and you are tired, write her a small love note asking if you can have some alone time with her to talk at 8 pm after your have composed yourself and can give her good attention instead of post work grumpiness.

Strike a deal with her. Tell her you'll do all the housework for a year if she will be quiet for a day. I bet it'll work. I'd shut my mouth if my bf said that to me.
