Absolutely not!!! It is actually the appropriate thing to do, and most people these days do not realize that. If you should end up married later, you can always have it changed.

OOOOH I was in the same boat as you! I felt like Id be giving him credit where it was not due, but in the end I did give my son his dads last name because he is as much a piece of him as he is of me. My boyfriend isnt the best boyfriend but he's been a great father so I also have to give credit where credit it due, I think it all depends on how involved he is with his son. AND you can always change it.

no. If you are/were planning on marring the father at a later date, you can have the baby's name changed after the wedding.

It's okay to give your baby your last name instead of his father's. If you ever marry his father, you can change it if you want.

Not one bit. You shouldnt feel bad at all. i wouldnt pressure him to marry you and bargain with that though. I dont know the whole situation so its kind of hard to give out advice.

NOPE NOT AT ALL. MY SON THE ONLY ONE OUT OF 5 HAS MY LAST NAME. HE IS ALSO HIS FATHERS ONLY SON AS WELL. MY OLDER BRO HAS 5 GIRLS MY LIL SIS HAS 3 GIRLS I HAVE 4 GIRLS AND MY LIL BRO CANT HAVE KIDS (SNIP SNIP) SO I HAVE THE ONLY BOY TO CARRY ON THE NAME. I WASNT MARRIED TO HIS FATHER AND NORE AM I WITH HIM ANY MORE. ITS YOUR CHOICE.
