Teachers are supposed to be organized... I'm mad for you... if a teacher loses your papers and she knows you did it, she should just apologize and excuse you from it.. or else give you full credit for her negligence. She should certainly give you extra credit.

If this happens often have your parents register a complaint with the school board. Have them explain to them the long hours you put in on the paper only to have her lose it for a time. Ask for your parents to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal or at least specify it is your parents registering the complaint. Check with other students to see if they have a problem. Aside from that there is nothing you can do. It is almost impossible to get a teacher in trouble. This is pretty much how real life goes. Its not fair and you will forever be burdened by the incompetence of others.

I know this is very frustrating. At this point there isn't much you can do about it. I would recommend you just chalk it up to experience and move on. Administrations or school boards will more than likely not give you the satisfaction you desire. If you are concerned that it might happen again, you could spend a little time and money and make copies of all your major work just in case. It is unfortunate that the teacher was as unsympathetic and as unorganized as she was, but you must endure for another semester so make the best of it.

Too bad...unfortunately there's not a lot you can do..one option would be to tell your counselor, at least someone in authority would be aware of the situation..Good Luck
