Nope. It is a matter of public record. It is standard that it be printed for public view. Sorry.

The press is unlikely to be interested in this case. Contrary to popular belief, reporters don't hang about magistrates' courts except when there is a high profile case. They get in touch from time to time to see if there is anything interesting which might fill a few column inches of the paper. If you keep your head down and don't draw attention to yourself unnecessarily, then they are not going to see anything newsworthy in a run-of-the-mill domestic incident. If you don't believe me, take a look at the court list and see how many more interesting cases are going on in that court on that day!

Courts are held in public and are open to the press unless there is a specific public interest issue concerned. This openness is an essential component of democracy.

If you are found not guilty then you needn't worry because you've been exonerated in a public court. Nothing will count against you afterwards.

Court is not required when public opinion already has found you guilty, don't worry the jury only go on their own opinions, which are loosely based upon the facts, and their prior prejudices

You should be named and shamed! They wouldn't continue with the court trial if there wasn't physical evidence of battery and assault! You've done wrong, own up to it!

If you assualted a woman, I hope they put your name in big bold letters on the front page. You are a coward and a bully and deserve to be shamed.

Try not hitting women you cowardly piece of ****, if you were after tea and sympathy you're in the wrong place. Men who hit women do it because they daren't hit men, you deserve to get named and shamed.

Tough s*** you should of thought about that before you laid a finger on your ex.The police must of thought you did it or you wouldn't be charged. You get everything you deserve blokes like you wouldn't have a go at a real man.

There is no way you can stop it. The judge in exceptional cases will stop the media publishing details, but I don't think this would count.

notify the court and the newspapers you feel your name will be put in. but if the police were called and or you were arrested your name will automatically go on the police blotter section in the newspaper anyhow
