My job requires 7 1/2 hours sitting. My a.s hurts, my back hurts.....and the sun is streight at my monitor so I can hardly see what I write.

That is an OH&S (Occupational health & safety) issue and your employer is liable for that. You should speak to your human resources department and get them to re-evaluate your workspace so that you are more comfortable.

I have to sit, also. However, at my last job, it was standing in one spot for 7 1/2 hours, so I will take the sitting any day!

No, I get up and dance around every no and again. If you want to solve your back problems, sit on an exercise ball while you're at work.
