The only reason that anti-australian sentiment exists is because of Australia's lack of anti-americanism.

I think the United States and Australia are both great nations and are good for each other....after all, who mourned Steve Irwin more than we Americans? It must be hard to stand on your head all the time, too.

Very few countries in the world don't have a relationship with America..and regardless of the current anti-Americanism taking place for what ever reason Australia will always have a relationship with the states !
In reference to your added details..Quite recently Australia had much press coverage of what was seen as Anti-Muslim riots...
at least here in Europe... in my opinion this hurt its reputation more than its relationship with the united states..in which again there are only one or two counties in the world in which it does not have a relation ship with !!

Australia gets treatment few countries (England, Canada, Australia) get. They get access to lots of spy stuff that they couldn't afford on their own (including access to the electronic info miner Echolon and spy satellites). They will even be getting some stealth fighters. Economically, the U.S. is easily their number one customer. What has the other countries down for Australia besides giving them illegal immigrants and selling them junk?

No. For the most part Australians are intelligent, pleasant people. There are idiots and jerks in every society, and we try not to judge an entire country by a few flakes.
