* a variable quantity that can be resolved into components
* a straight line segment whose length is magnitude and whose orientation in space is direction

A vector is some mesurement that has magnitude and direction. For example, Force is vector beacuse force has to be applied in some direction. On the other hand, mass is scalar beacuse mass has no direction, its jsut a proeprty. Same for energy.
