Yes because I do not believe in the objectivity and in this "neutral" justice under the control of the American and other world lobbies interest...What so ever he did in the past...we just know a piece of the truth (The eye of the Politicaly Correct of the Western Media).
Could we imagine in America an Ethnic Civil War between Black and White(Like it happened in L.A), and the President will give order to kill any people who do not respect the Couvre-Few in the night. Do we need for that to say he is an Dictator and make him arrest by the world International Peace Force of the Galaxie???

We simply can't. Although our assumption of the position as "law enforcer" is a bit on the side of illegally assumed, he still needs to be brought to justice. I do agree that- even though the "Iraqi government" is the one doing the sentencing, it is still kinda just a puppet of US intentions. Nonetheless, Saddam is being held accountable for 148 deaths, even though he is responsible for thousands more. If we're afraid of "all hell breaking loose," well, one watching of CNN or any news channel will reveal that "all hell" has already broken loose. His death may bring more violence, but that will have to subside eventually.

well...i am not sure if i would sign the petition for the sake of his human rights...he is/was an evil dictator remember but...the only reason one might think of a reason to petition against him being killed is the wrath that will be brought down upon Iraq and our troops over there.
everything is easier said than done however and hindsight is worth its weight in, well oil you could say nowadays.

I am not sure I would sign a petition but I do not think he got a fair trial. I think it was controlled by the Bushites.

Free him as in how?
Free him from his hanging and instead put him in a life sentence in prison --
Or free him completely?
I would sign it if it was based on the first.
