because they usually do weight more once they are born? Also when in your uterus the weight is more evenly distrubuted around your body- vs. carrying them in your arm-

It's your arms. But those muscles will develop after carrying them around for a couple years. I never thought I'd actually end up with biceps this big.

Because the weight is centered in your body and you don't notice it as much. but when you carry a baby, the weight spreads out because of their heavy heads and arms and legs.

Is someone heavier when they're on land or in water? Since babies are "swimming" in fluid they seem much lighter because of gravity (or lack thereof)
